- Serial port expansion
The Dual-Port USB Serial Adapter adds two RS-232 serial DB/DE-9 (male) connectors to a desktop or laptop via a single USB Type-A port. Secure the adapter to a serial device, using pre-installed and removable slotted D-Sub thumbscrews or install the included DB-9 Nuts for compatibility with other serial peripheral devices or cables. - LED indicators
Data transmission and reception LED indicators for each port on the adapter provide real-time monitoring of port activity. The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully enumerated on the desktop or laptop. All the LEDs aid with diagnostics and troubleshooting. - Seamless connectivity
The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers automatically install to Windows 7 and newer versions, macOS 10.15 and above, and Linux. The USB to RS-232 adapter features COM retention, which automatically reassigns the COM port value if the cable is disconnected and reconnected, or if the system is rebooted. - Built to last
The rugged TPE construction and Level-4 ESD protection (15kV air and 8kV contact) enhance the reliability and longevity of the USB to Serial Adapter. Copper shielding minimizes Electromagnetic and Radio Frequency Interference (EMI and RFI). Gold-plated connectors enhance signal conductivity. The included mounting bracket allows the hub of the serial adapter to be mounted to a desired surface.
